Goodly: Achieving 11% Search Conversion with Merchandising Cloud
The Challenge
With more than 1,600 different SKUs, Goodly needed to find a solution that made it easier for their shoppers to quickly and easily find the items they were looking for. Management also wanted a solution that improved UX, included many solutions under one roof, and saved time for their team – especially in the management of collections.

We rely heavily on Merchandising Cloud solutions and know they play a critical role in the UX of our site. It’s also nice to have so many features wrapped into one application, and recognize the support team is always responsive and incredibly helpful.

The Solution
Merchandising Cloud’s personalized search solution improved Goodly’s site search capabilities both technically through the use of features like NLP and advanced spelling tolerance, as well as through the use of Merchandising Cloud’s leading personalization AI. The solution also included an autocomplete function which improved findability.
Furthermore, the recommendations solution improved the site’s upsell and cross-sell ability, while smart collections reduced the amount of manual collection management time required from the team.
When taken together, Merchandising Cloud’s three main solutions streamlined processes for Goodly and resulted in improved UX storewide.

Goodly
Goodly, formerly known as The Sock Drawer, began in 2007 when founder Brooke English opened a small sock store in her Californian hometown. The store thrived in the community, and so the store expanded into ecommerce in 2011.
Goodly is now one of the largest online sock companies in the world, offering hundreds of different styles. It has also recently started selling an ever-changing variety of gift items.
