The Challenge

Monitors.com (formerly Bayland Technologies) is a healthcare technology company serving radiology practices, imaging centers, and medical facilities – whether large hospital systems or individual clinics – around the world.

Their products encompass everything needed to set up complete radiology reading stations, from medical-grade monitors and displays to workstations, film digitizers, dictation microphones, graphics cards, calibration software, and more.

So it’s safe to say – Monitors.com knows good tech. Which is what brought the merchant to Merchandising Cloud.

In their search for a fast and reliable Site Search and Personalization ecommerce tool, those behind the trusted retailer discovered Merchandising Cloud. Monitors.com has now enlisted the leading search, merch, and personalization software provider to help their customers find their preferred products quicker and easier.

The Solution

What is Merchandising Cloud and how does it help increase ecommerce revenue?
Merchandising Cloud is an advanced AI solution which uses algorithms, advanced AI and machine-learning to change the order in which each individual shopper sees each product, meaning each user has the most optimized personalized journey without the need for any manual work. This helps ecommerce merchants increase revenue, increase conversion, optimize speed, and improve UX for an optimized ecommerce purchase journey.

The Results

Following a recent integration, the full suite of Merchandising Cloud solutions is now integrated with the Monitors.com site – Personalized Search, Recommendations, and Smart Collections.

The trusted Personalized Search solution is powered by an advanced AI algorithm which learns, in real-time, the preferences of online shoppers and re-orders product listings accordingly to reflect these learnings. Customers see more of the products they like and, therefore, end up buying more.

Merchandising Cloud’s equally dependable Smart Collections solution takes all the same aspects as Personalized Search and applies them to collection pages to ensure products appearing within collections are ranked according to the customer’s preference, and are not simply a one-size-fits-all static list of products.

Finally, the Recommendations solution identifies ‘Hot Sellers’, ‘Recently Viewed Items’, ‘Frequently Bought Together’, ‘Customers Who Viewed This Ultimately Bought’, and ‘Newest Products’. This reliable ecommerce tool allows retailers to maximize their online store’s upsell and cross-sell capabilities without having to manually curate the products shown.

The full suite also includes advanced analytics, which enables merchants to better understand the behaviour of their shoppers by giving them access to extremely valuable, trustworthy, and actionable, insights.

Customizing the product experience
While Merchandising Cloud’s powerful ecommerce tool already looks great out-of-the-box, it is also possible to customize the solutions to match the merchant’s desired look, feel, and desired brand experience.

In the case of Monitors.com, the merchant chose to customize the look and feel of the autocomplete on both desktop and mobile.

On desktop, the store chose to feature larger than standard product cards in their autocomplete in order to better showcase their own specific products.

Within their mobile autocomplete function, Monitors.com chose to include product matches in the window along with search suggestions.

On the Monitors.com product cards within search results and on collection pages, Merchandising Cloud added a number of additional features that were requested including buttons such as ‘View Product’, ‘Choose Options’, ‘Add To Cart’, and ‘Request a Quote’ which all follow specific logics.

Merchandising Cloud also created custom stickers for the merchant – a red box sliding in from the left – highlighting how much savings are to be had on specific discounted items.

In addition, an integration with the merchants reviews provider (Merchandising Cloud partner Stamped.io) enables product ratings to be displayed directly on the corresponding product card.

Two other integrations were also carried out as part of the Monitors.com integration – with a currency conversion app (Shopify Multicurrency), and with a translations app (Weglot).

Also of note, Monitors.com chose to include custom filtering options, allowing customers to filter search results and category items by ‘Resolution’, ‘Screen Setup’, ‘Screen Type’, ‘Screen Size’, ‘Condition’, ‘Manufacturer’, and ‘Modality’.
